A 3D configurator for TUP

TUP develops innovative and flexible workplace solutions, including modular 1, 2 and 4-person meeting spaces. Their mission is to provide functional and aesthetically pleasing workspaces without requiring organizations to undertake major office remodeling.

The 4-person Unicorn TUP is a spacious office pod in which you can hold a meeting for up to 4 people and present your work by adding a screen. or use it as an office by placing a desk with an office chair instead of the benches and table.

Challenge
TUP wanted to enable customers to fully customize their 4-person consultation room. This included choosing colors and incorporating corporate identity. The goal was to give potential customers a realistic view of their future consultation room even before production starts.

Our solution
We developed a custom 3D configurator, built with Three.js, that allows interested parties to easily select and visualize the colors of their TUP Unicorn.

• 3D model development: Working closely with TUP, we fine-tuned the 3D model of the consultation room in detail, ensuring that every aspect of the space was correctly and visually appealing.
• Three.js UI Integration: We added a user-friendly interface that allows customers to choose colors instantly and view changes in real time.
• AI-powered color palettes: Unique to this configurator is the AI functionality we have added. Customers can upload their company logo and our AI solution will automatically suggest five color palettes that perfectly match their corporate identity.
• Platform independent: The configurator is built platform-independently. The application can run independently and by adding Javascript events the external developer can link the configurator to, for example, a quotation path in the existing website.

Result
The 3D configurator enables TUP customers to make decisions about their consultation space with confidence, speeding up the sales process and increasing customer satisfaction. With the integration of AI and an intuitive interface, this tool provides a unique and personalized experience.
