Magento Total Care Update: Fixed Rate Webshop Maintenance.
Discover our Magento Total Care Update subscription: a fixed rate for webshop maintenance, separate from feature development. Worry-free and cost-effective.
With the Magento Total Care subscription, we perform all updates, security patches, and bug fixes on a monthly basis—at a fixed price per month. By separating maintenance from feature development, the development team can stay focused on new revenue-generating functionality, while we ensure the foundation remains stable and secure.
At most e-commerce organizations, maintenance and development are intertwined.
The result: development teams become overloaded with maintenance tasks, new features get delayed, and technical debt piles up. Magento Total Care prevents that. We make sure the codebase is always up-to-date. Feature development maintains its own pace and velocity, without maintenance issues blocking the schedule.
The advantages at a glance:
- Predictable monthly costs – fixed price per month, no separate invoices for operations
- Always up-to-date – all Magento core and extension updates are processed as quickly as possible
- Faster time-to-market – feature development is no longer held back by maintenance
- Top-notch security – proactive monitoring and immediate patching of vulnerabilities to minimize risks
- Transparency – every adjustment is visible in GitLab, fully traceable
When can we start?
Before we can start this subscription, we first need a complete overview of the current situation. During the second phase, explore & build, of our process, we conduct a comprehensive audit of the existing situation. Or, if it concerns a new build, we determine the MVP. Based on the audit or MVP, we assess the shop's state as the subscription goes into effect using four pillars.
These four pillars ensure the monthly price is set objectively and fairly. During the subscription, we can also work on improving these four pillars. By simplifying the shop, or bringing it closer to our familiar stack, the subscription price can decrease. We evaluate this annually.
These are the four pillars on which we assess the project's status:
Quantity
How much code, how many products, customers, and orders does the shop have?
Quality
How well is the existing codebase constructed?
Complexity
How much customization, how many integrations and deviations are present? (the most important pillar)
Familiarity
How well do we know the stack and infrastructure being used?
What you get
- Proactive updates and bug fixes
- Security patches implemented as quickly as possible
- Monthly reporting with changelog
- Quality assurance through automated testing
- A fixed maintenance routine
- Annual re-audit and advisory report
- Optional retainer hours for support questions
- Complete transparency via GitLab
Further development runs in parallel
Feature development falls outside this maintenance subscription. New features, redesigns, or extensions are therefore not limited by the monthly maintenance. This keeps capacity for growth available, without maintenance eating into your priorities.

Pricing model
The monthly price is determined after the audit, based on the four pillars. Indicative ranges:
- Low complexity: €1500 – €2000 / month
- Medium complexity: €1750 – €3250 / month
- High complexity: €2750 – €7000 / month
Each option includes all updates, bug fixes, and patches with no additional work.
Transparency as standard
Everything we do is recorded in our issue management system GitLab. Every issue, commit, and release is visible. That way, you know exactly:
- what’s been updated
- why it was done
- what the impact was
You’ll receive a monthly report with a changelog, security status, and recommendations for next improvements.
